Pros: Protects the paint and screen.
Cons: Screen issues, bumpy and rubbery feel. Not as long lasting as they claim. Difficult installation. Warranty handling charges high, requires sending back the old one.
I went through two of these on my HTC Touch Pro in less than 6 months. I would have gone through 3, but the handling fees that you have to pay to get a replacement InvisibleSheild under warranty seem to escalate for the third one. Either that or they didn’t get my old one the first time I had to send it in. That’s right, in order for your warranty to continue, you have to send the old InvisibleShield back to Zagg. I did send mine back, but when I went to order the third one, instead of costing around $10 for handling like the second, they wanted to charge me full price. $10 for something that lasts a few months, OK, not $19!
Then there is the problem that you have to get used to the bumpyness of it. The bumpyness is fine for the body of the phone, but it’s somewhat distracting on the screen. Not to mention, when you first install it, it takes several days for the bubbles under the screen to disappear.
Another issue I had was that the InvisibleShield seems to make the stylus “draggy.” The InvisibleShield is more “rubbery” feeling than all the rest of the screensavers I’ve used. A lot of times it makes for jerky stylus movements that tend to open the wrong programs or choose the wrong links when web browsing.
Granted, it saves the paint job on your phone, the only mark I had on mine was a spot where the InvisibleShield didn’t cover. My suggestion would be if you really need to protect the paint, use everything except the screensaver and buy the screensaver from someone else. Oh, and be gentle with it, the warranty can get expensive.
