can i buy a phone on ebay and then use it with sprint?

i want to buy an htc touch pro or hd, or a blackberry bold. if i buy one on ebay, can i use it it with my normal plan with sprint?

As long as it is a sprint phone. sure.
I highly doubt that Sprint will allow you to use a non-Sprint branded device on their network; they’d rather have you buy a phone from them. Those phones should be coming to Sprint soon. Verizon, however, will let you use any CDMA phone on their network.
Sprint’s network is CDMA, and blackberrys and HTCs are GSM. So no, you cannot use those phones on the Sprint network.
