Just to update anyone that was following this my charger is not working anymore.
There is two connectors on the charger and one of them is lodged up in the charger so only one connector is making contact. I still feel for the price it was a good deal I am now just using it as an extra charger via the a USB cable.

BE AWARE!! Ordered this item on Dec 25, 2009. Rec’d Jan 9, 2010. Opened first battery pack, inserted in charger, and charged the battery. Went to charge second battery and noticed it is for a HTC HD2. Different size battery – won’t fit into charger and obviously won’t fit into HTC Hero phone. Sent e-mail to seller. Reply pending.

Is the htc hero charger the same as the blackberry curve charger?

I just couldn’t justify spending 49.95 on a battery when I could spend 16.99 and get two batteries and a charger.
